Brodie's Instrospection represents two sides of a mind attempting to make a decision between two choices.  The dancers move around the choices, sometimes dancing outside of them, sometimes coming together to dance within them.  Each moment is approaching the decision from different aspects, sometimes together and sometimes apart.  In the end, a path is chosen and they move into that path of light.

The idea of a physical manifestation of introspection was very fascinating to me.  I loved the idea of using light to define decision pathways, to create lines around ideas that the dancers could move into or out of, and to focus them as they came together to explore the options.  The last few moments were among my favorites, allowing the choices to join them across the stage before the final choice is made and they walk off into the light.  I researched some abstract art of the mind and of decisions to gain inspiration for this piece.
